SKC student housing is very competitive and is currently limited with availability.  Waitlist is over a year long depending on the type of housing requested. If you are thinking of attending SKC we recommend filling out a housing application even before you apply to attend to be placed on the housing waitlist.

SKC房屋问卷

Salish Kootenai College offers safe, clean, affordable on-campus dormitories and family housing. SKC有55个家庭住房单元，一个42个床位的宿舍和一个 12床荣誉宿舍.

These units are designated for full-time students while they attend SKC. The atmosphere is in harmony with acquiring an education and personal growth in a tribal college setting.

住房部门全年接受申请, 因为学生们在整个学年里都在搬来搬去. Applications not selected on the first round are held on a waitlist in case a space opens. This means that students on the waitlist may receive 住房 offers mid-quarter or during Winter or Spring quarter.

To receive priority consideration for 住房 for the upcoming school year, students should submit their 住房 applications by each quarter's priority consideration date. Applications priority dates are the  7th week of the quarter before you plan to attend (3rd week of May for Fall, 冬天是十月的第四个星期, 春季则为二月第四周). Submitting your housing application by the priority date does not guarantee you housing; it gives your application more points when evaluated.

申请过程

申请学生宿舍，学生可以:

填写新的在线住房申请，或

Download and print a copy of the Application for 学生住房, or

Pick up a hard copy from the 住房 Office in the Robert DePoe III Building.

Applications are prioritized on a point system and submission date.

当一个单元可用时, the 住房 Department will make an offer to the first person on the waitlist for that type of unit. 一旦有空位，就会提供报价, so applying earlier increases a student’s chances of being offered a space.

In order to maximize the likelihood that an application will receive an offer, 学生应确保:

资格

Applicants for 学生住房 must be full-time (taking 12 credits or more), 萨里什库特奈学院攻读学位的学生. 宿舍是为单身学生准备的, and Hewankorn家庭住宅 units are designated for students and their immediate family.

“Immediate family” is defined as the spouse and children of the Head of Household, with exceptions given on a case-by-case basis for adult family members who are also enrolled as full-time, 萨里什库特奈学院攻读学位的学生. The “Head of Household” is defined as the Student Tenant whose name appears on the lease. Children must be under the 年龄 of 18 at the time of lease signing, or the tenant must provide proof of the child’s high school enrollment.

Undergraduate students and immediate family are able to reside in 住房 for up to 150% of expected time of graduation: Two years of certificate of completion programs, 三年的相关课程, 6年的学士学位, 3年的研究生课程.

口宿舍

The SKC 口宿舍 are designed for single students who are looking to live close to campus in a safe, 社会团体. 它们由11个套房风格的房间组成，被称为pod. Three or four students live in a Pod; each student shares a bathroom with one other roommate and some units have their own private bedroom.

Pods also contain a living room with cable TV and internet and a full kitchen with stove, 冰箱, 和室友一起用微波炉. 浴室是半私人的，由两个室友共用. In three-person Pods, one roommate has a private bath for additional cost.

豆舱设备齐全. Dorm rooms include an XL twin bed, wardrobe, desk and chair, and three-drawer dresser.

The Dorm facilities also include a common area lounge where students can socialize or study, 洗衣房, 和住宿顾问(RAs). Entrances are secure and only accessible by Dorm residents and 住房 or 安全 staff.

租金

Hewankorn家庭住宅

Hewankorn家庭住宅 are apartments designed primarily for students with children. SKC校园里有55个家庭住房单元.

Units may have one, two, three, or four bedrooms, depending on the size of the family. Each apartment has its own bathroom and a kitchen with a stove and 冰箱. 较大的单元有两间浴室.
